AlphaESS Together with SJTU, Aiming for the Champion of Solar Olympic

Alpha ESS Co., Ltd., ("AlphaESS") one of the international high-tech companies focusing on providing advanced energy storage products and smart energy management services, announced that it has signed strategic sponsorship agreement with Shanghai Jiaotong University ("SJTU") on 6th July 2016, to support whose participation in Solar Decathlon 2017 in the form of providing advanced household energy storage systems and technical guidance.

Initiated and organized by the U.S. Department of Energy, the International Solar Decathlon ("SD") attracts colleges and universities globally for the participation and is well known as the Solar Olympic.
It challenges collegiate teams to design, build and operate solar-powered houses that are cost-effective, energy-efficient and attractive. The winner of the competition is the team that best blends affordability, consumer appeal, and design excellence with optimal energy production and maximum efficiency.

In 2017, the SD China will be held in Shandong by the China National Energy Administration and the U.S. Department of Energy. Joining with University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign ("UIUC"), SJTU is forming up a strong team of students for participating the competition, levered by the wealth experience of UIUC, they have strong confidence in winning the Solar Olympic.

As the exclusive sponsor of household energy storage system, AlphaESS will provide lithium-ion battery energy storage systems to SJTU for R&D and design of solar-powered house with energy storage, it aims to better merge and optimize the integration of smart energy with buildings.
